Virtual Christmas Carol Services; a partnership between Sports Chaplaincy UK and Hope Together

Over the years, many chaplains have held Christmas Carol services at their club or gym. In the past, Sports Chaplaincy UK has partnered with a range of great organisations to resource chaplains host these services. With the current challenges of the pandemic, this year Sports Chaplaincy UK, in partnership with HOPE Together, are offering Virtual Christmas Carols.

On Tuesday 15th December at 7.30pm and Sunday 20th December at 6.00pm, online and on social media, we will be offering a Virtual Christmas Carol service, led by Warren Evans, CEO of Sports Chaplaincy UK and Broadcaster, Jay Lusted.

There will be readings from the community of sport, The Blessing sung by children across the world, Christmas messages from UK Christian Leaders and a great teaching message from Dr Dave Smith, Senior Pastor at Kingsgate Church in Peterborough.

Worship Leader, Noel Robinson will be leading us in singing some great carols!

Please share about our Virtual Christmas Carols by using the hashtag #VirtualChristmas on social media. We’d love to know where you are planning to share this.

We are delighted that a number of ministries will be sharing this on their platforms too. We are grateful to everyone who has contributed to this project.

As part of our resources for Virtual Christmas Carols, we are delighted to offer this special message recorded at Kingsgate Community Church in Peterborough by their Senior Pastor, Dave Smith.

Dave is working with our friends at HOPE Together on new material called the Wellbeing Journey. In this special message, Dave shares how Christmas has wellbeing at it’s heart.

Our thanks to Dave for contributing this message to us – and we’d love to invite you to share it in your churches and sporting communities.

Virtual Christmas Carols and the Wellbeing – the link explained

This year, we are hoping that our Virtual Carol Services will not stand alone, but link to the Wellbeing Journey. It’s a great opportunity for friends, chaplains and others to join together in an 8 week journey where we go into greater depth of the different types of wellbeing that Jesus invites us to experience. Roy Crowne and Warren Evans share more and invite you to get involved!
