5 Peak Challenge

Five Peak Challenge · It’s OK to Walk & Talk

Much has been said about sport and mental health over the last few years, and at Sports Chaplaincy UK and Ireland, we want to do more. So, for Mental Health Awareness Week in May, we asked YOU to get involved, join the team and help us continue to meet the emotional, mental and spiritual needs of the sports community for which we are truly grateful.

To raise awareness and address the stigma of Mental Health Awareness, Our CEO Warren Evans and Christian Wienkamp climbed the highest mountains in each Home Nation and Ireland in five days. Christian then went on to complete the Leeds half marathon on the 14th May National Sports Sunday. They were joined at each mountain by other chaplains, leaders, athletes and friends as they walked and talked.

In preparation for this event, Warren spoke to Dr Allan Johnston about the 5 Mental Health Mountains that many of us face. All funds raised go directly towards resourcing and equipping chaplains to continue to reach their world.
