01 Chris Armstrong
Chris Armstrong, Assistant Director N Wales, Rugby Development Officer and Local Church Engagement for Sports Chaplaincy UK I
Chris ‘Geordie’ Armstrong married to Emma who both serve as Chaplains at Rhyl Rugby Club. He has two grown up sons have flown the nest. Recently stepped back from his day job as a Chartered Surveyor, has a passion to see Sports Chaplaincy grow across Wales, UK and Ireland.  He will be supporting the National Director primarily in North and Mid Wales as well as taking on a Local Church Engagement role for SCUK. Former Swimming, Ice Hockey and Soccer coach. Loving life in North Wales for 30+ years. It’s about Community & Relationships. Still learning to love God more each day. Psalm 127.


02 Jon Butler
Jon Butler, Wales Football Lead
Jon lives in Aberystwyth, leading a church plant as a minister with the Assemblies of God Great Britain, having moved with his family from Portsmouth where Jon had served in church leadership and as a Detective in the Police. Jon’s passion for football led to him becoming the Chaplain for Aberystwyth Town Football Club, one of only two clubs to have played in every season of the Cymru Premier (Welsh Premier League) since it was formed in 1992.
In December 2020 Jon became Wales Football Lead for Sports Chaplaincy to build on the great work of placing Chaplains within Football Clubs across Wales.


03 Heather Lewis
Heather Lewis, Support Lead In Wales Including Disability Sport & Pastoral Care Support For Women In Wales
Heather has served as a chaplain since June 2013 for Disability Sport Wales but more recently as Chaplain to the Cardiff Chief Mixed Ability Rugby and Run4Wales Event Chaplaincy. Heather has also had the privilege to serve as chaplain at some major events such as the International Paralympic Committee’s European Athletics Championships 2014 in Swansea, the World Para Athletics 2017 in London, the World Wheelchair Basketball Championships 2018 in Hamburg and the Commonwealth Games at the Gold Coast 2018.
She also takes responsibility for providing pastoral support to the female chaplains in Wales and helps develop the work of Sports Chaplaincy UK across Wales.
