Blackpool Football Club and Blackpool FC Community Trust are deeply saddened to announce the passing of Club Chaplain and Chairman of the Community Trust Reverend Michael Ward on Wednesday 5 December 2018, at the age of 76.
A much-loved pillar of the community, Michael was a lifelong Blackpool supporter who became Club Chaplain in 2006, offering advice and guidance to all those who sought it.
A former vicar at St Peter’s Church, he was also a prominent trustee on the board of the Blackpool FC Community Trust, becoming Chairman in 2015.
Our heartfelt condolences go out to Michael’s wife Liz, daughter Jane, son Andrew and the whole family.
