We would ask you to uphold Becky Cozemel’s family in prayer, Becky was co-founder of Faith Rx’d and passed away on 6th April 2019. Our deepest condolences go out to her family and friends, praying they would experience a tangible touch of God’s love, comfort, peace and strength to rest upon.
“Sports Chaplaincy UK and Faith Rx’d began working together in the Autumn of 2017 when a new chapter in Cardiff (Wales) was formed by SCUK Chaplin B.J. Stagner who took on the newly establishment role of gym chaplain in a local CrossFit gym, ION Strength and Conditioning.
Our CEO, Warren Evans was invited by Matt Wilcox to speak at the Faith Rx’d UK national meeting in the same year which solidified the wonderful working relationship between the two ministries. Warren’s encouraging words had a deep and long effect in all who were present, extending through the entire Faith Rx’d community.
A statement from Cozemel family:
“It is with very heavy hearts we share the news of Becky Cozemel’s passing the morning of 6 April as she was ushered into her new Heavenly home with her Saviour Jesus Christ. Even though we stand perplexed at the events leading up her departure from this world, we are comforted to know she has been met with open and loving arms by the Creator she so lived for on this earth.
Becky touched countless souls through her faith and fullness of life. Her energetic and enthusiastic approach to life was beyond contagious, whilst her testimony of eternal salvation continued paramount in her activities of daily living.
Becky has been a competitive athlete for nearly her entire life and made five CrossFit Games appearances as well as received her L1 certification in CrossFit and USA Weightlifting. She was a devoted wife and mother who expressed love and compassion into the lives of all she came in contact with. She will be greatly missed, but we rest in the fact we will be reunited one day soon.
Becky is survived by her immediate family, husband-Jim, daughter-Kylie and son- Tyler, her parents, Bev and Mike Beliveau and Gary and Terri Menchhofer, siblings, Troy Menchhofer and Courtney Beliveau.
Anyone interested in showing appreciation and support for Becky are encouraged to consider making a tax deductible contribution to FAITH RXD via FAITHRXD.org/support.”
Respectfully,
B.J. Stagner Jr.
