Humility is one of a chaplain’s key values in Sports Chaplaincy UK. Which is probably why only the
other week we discovered that Phil Pusey, one of our very own chaplains, had received an MBE in
the King’s Birthday Honours List back in the summer!
Phil Pusey has been chaplain to Burton Albion FC since 2013 and received the MBE for services to
the community in Burton and Staffordshire. As well as being chaplain to Burton Albion he is also
Chief Executive of the Staffordshire Council of Voluntary Youth Services, Chair of Burton Albion
Community Trust and Trustee of Burton YMCA and Eagles Nest project.
Congratulations Phil from all of us at SCUK. May the Lord continue to use and bless you in all that
you are doing both at the club and further afield as you seek to advance His Kingdom.
