15 November 2022 – Northern Ireland: Thousands of pounds were raised on Monday 14thNovember for the disability charity, Sense, which supports children and adults living with complex disabilities in Northern Ireland.
An array of former football and rugby stars, including Norman Whiteside, Billy Hamilton and David Humphries, joined more than 80 guests, at the House of Vic-Ryn in Lisburn, Co.Antrim, for the sports themed fundraiser ahead of the FIFA World Cup.
The event was organised and hosted by Sports Chaplaincy UK and Ireland. Sports Chaplaincy is a charity that specialises in serving the community of sport through the provision of encouragement and pastoral and spiritual care across the UK and Ireland
Sense Northern Ireland Chairman, Brian Symington MBE, said:
“I have seen first-hand the incredible work Sense does.
The money raised tonight will make a huge difference, enabling us to provide vital support to children and adults living with complex disabilities across Northern Ireland.
We’re hugely grateful to all of our guests and everyone who has supported the event, including our stars of rugby and football, including the legend Norman Whiteside.
